Do I Use US Or Non-US Language In My Web Pages?

Question - The differences in English and non-English spellings are starting to become very apparent. I suppose I've pandered to US searchers (as there are so many of them), by spelling 'jewellery' as 'jewelry'.

This is a term I think people might look for in association with birthday gifts, but am I creating problems for myself?

Do I then need to 'Americanise' all my words? Or should I just keep it simple and use the English spellings I'm familiar with

Answer - Your market is going to be 80% from the US, so you need to Americanise all of the words so they know what you are saying.

Remember, it's all about your reader, and if your biggest market is the US (which it will be), run with that.
