I'm Up And Running - Now I Need More Traffic...

Question - My site is up and running but I'm not getting the traffic I'd like to see. What can I do now to start boosting it?

Answer - Search engine traffic is difficult but it's the place to start, especially using Solo Build It because it helps you out no end.

In order to generate more of this, I'd suggest you change your titles and keywords slightly using the instructions on this page -

This will make all of the on-page factors pretty much perfect, then it's time to focus on the off-page factors that you can control.

The best way to do this is to write articles and submit them to articles directories (see a list at the end of this page), exchange articles (instead of just links) with other related sites, and keep building additional content on your site.

For your additional content, target keywords (using BrainstormIt) that you can rank well for in the SE's and then use the content you write to send people to other articles on your site that promote high value affiliate programs or high cost-per-click Adsense ads.

For example, at the end of your article, say, "Readers who liked this article on Making Your House A Welcoming home also enjoyed this article on Building A Family Friendly Living Room" with a link to your high value page containing Adsense ads (if this is the page that has a high Adsense value).

This way you don't have to rank well for the most popular keyword phrases, but your visitors still get to click on the high value ads.

If possible, make your goal to attract people onto a newsletter list so you can start to build a relationship with them over time. This way you will have multiple chances of them buying from you or at least clicking on your ads :-)

Here's a list of some of the best article directories to get you started once you have created your killer articles.
