Thinking
About Buying Jimboomba Property?
If you are thinking about buying a Jimboomba
property, here's a brief introduction to the place we
call home.
Jimboomba is a small country town about 45 kilometres
from the Queensland capital of Brisbane, and 15 kilometres
from Beaudesert, the hub and administrative center of the Beaudesert
shire.
Owning a Jimboomba property offers a quite rural
residential lifestyle with lot sizes ranging from 1000
square meter lots in the township itself to 1 acre, 2.5
acre, 5 acre, 10 acre and larger lot sizes further out
into the countryside.
There are also many farms covering hundreds or even
thousands of hectares available for purchase, however
these are most likely further south towards Boonah or
other rural townships.
Jimboomba property prices have boomed along with the
remainder of South East Queensland over the past 5 years,
however if you have a long term view (which of course is
necessary when investing in property) prices still offer
great value.
Many Jimboomba property owners have seen massive gains
in their holdings recently, and while the market has
cooled, there are still some great buys.
Building activity is still at a high level and many
people are still only just discovering the rural lifestyle that Jimboomba offers.
We purchased our 5.5 acre Jimboomba property in 1990,
built a home and moved in during 1994.
We have a hilltop block from where we can see to
Brisbane on a clear day (it's a fair way away though :-)
and our neighbours are just far enough away so that we
have a great lifestyle with peace and quite to enjoy.
Jimboomba offers full shopping facilities, a world
class 18 hole Golf course operated by Hill's International
School, and a multitude of educational, sporting and leisure
activities covering everything you'll ever need.
It's close enough to the city for commuters to
comfortably work there, but far enough away to enable you
to unwind when you get home...it offers a welcome break
from the hustle and bustle of the working world, and many
people are coming here for the quality of life Jimboomba
offers.
If you are considering buying Jimboomba property for
the lifestyle it offers, you really can't go wrong.
However, you must remember that your commuting times
will be longer if you have to work in the city, and with
the cost of fuel and general wear and tear on your
vehicles, that can add up.
And if you don't like nature or peace and quiet, then
Jimboomba probably isn't for you.
I hope this brief introduction has helped you in your
search for Jimboomba property.
If you have any questions or which local real estate
agents you can trust (you can't be too careful these days,
we were nearly caught...) or anything else about living
and buying a property in Jimboomba, please let me know by
using the contact
form and I'll be happy to help.
Looking forward to meeting you if you move to
Jimboomba,
Warmly,
P.S. The population
of the Beaudesert shire is expected to grow by 70,000
people over the next 50 years (there's around 60,000
people living here now), so if you want to get a larger
block in Jimboomba away from the masses, now's the time to
act.
